Avoiding the Elusive Unicorn

UX professionals face a lot of challenges when applying for a job, not the least of which is understanding exactly what the requisition is asking for. Many talented candidates and professionals with deep experience have learned not to even bother applying to a position that doesn’t make sense.

In this training, I offer real-world examples of job requisitions that raise very real red flags about the hiring companies’ “maturity level” when it comes to UX. Specifically I present how you’ll be able to:

  • Identify key phrases that may conflict with each other, leading to a loss of potential talent acquisition
  • Help your clients recraft their language to be more on target with their desired outcomes
  • Focus descriptions to be an honest reflection of the client’s UX capabilities
  • Coach clients in better aligning their expectations for talent against salary and responsibilities
